7 spring trends to try

If there’s one trend that stood out to me more than anything else for Spring / Summer 16, it’s the rise of the pastel palette. I will be embracing the calm hues and soft romanticism that is set to be everywhere, as well as taking a look at the other stand out trends and hero pieces as we step into spring.

This summer we're shaking off our sleeves because shoulders are the new sexy. Showing a bit of collarbone is undeniably the sexiest sliver of skin to show. Team it with anything from a pair of denim cut-offs, to a skin-tight midi-skirt; it’s impossible to get this trend wrong.
With more and more of us leading a life of smartphone addiction and needing a digital detox, Vinaya has emerged to help us lead a life of balance. They have developed a collection of wearable tech jewellery that helps us stay present and in the moment by prioritising calls, emails and messages so we can live our lives without our smartphones getting in the way.
A crisp white shirt is an essential piece for every woman’s wardrobe, a simple go-to that you can throw-on for that elegant off-duty look.  We’re loving this button down by Alena Gusarova, a classic shirt with a twist, taking it from a basic to fascinating in an instant.
No longer just for the mature woman, pearls are seeing a revival and are making their way to a decolletage near you.  Stepping away from the traditional, this spring will see a rise of contemporary jewellery brands using pearls in a fresh and innovative way, as seen by the likes of Gold Philosophy, ORA Pearls and Matara.
Each and every season a new ‘it’ bag starts to emerge, whether it’s the Chanel graffiti backpack, the Chloe Faye bag that has been plastered all over instagram or the Birkin bag that will never go out of style. But if there’s one brand, or even one style to keep on your radar, it’s The Cube tote by Heio London.

Supersweet x Moumi are nailing the ‘little house on the prairie‘ trend that we’ve been seeing all over the Spring / Summer 16 catwalks. With floaty billowy dresses, frills and playful prints galore, we’re keeping our necklines high and our sleeves ruffled this year. Here’s to a summer of femininity and romance.

Your feet will be glad to hear that flat shoes are still trending in the summer of 16. Slide them into a pair of Astrid Andreassen mules to keep your style looking up to date.  Dress them up with a playful summer dress or keep them casual with a pair of tailored trousers for a laid-back look.
