Pop-up Shop: Glassworks-Studios
There are so many pop-up shops ‘popping up’ in London these
days, it is hard to know which ones are worth a trip and which ones are just a
fad with a load of people jumping on the band wagon. But Glassworks Studios is one to make you sit
up and take note.
Situated on Monmouth Street, near to the infamous Seven
Dials in Covent Garden lays the store in association with Sunday Times
Style. It is packed full with
contemporary designer labels such as Helmut Lang, Carven and IRO but is not
limited to high end labels. Glassworks
knows that we like to mix pricier investment items with things we can pick up
on the high street and so price points for some items start around £35.
The brand aims to attract style-conscious women, who
dedicate a lifetime to luxury and care about cool, undiscovered brands. Think slogan-tees, graphic printed trousers
and bold knit jumpers, this store is effortlessly cool, and encourages shoppers
to upload pictures of themselves wearing the clothes with the hashtag
#glassygirls.
Currently hosting a sample sale, you can nab yourself some
designer bargains as you stumble across Equipment shirts and Marc Jacobs bags
for an incredible price. With a fast rotating stock, there is always a great
new piece waiting to be discovered.
Although Glassworks has been around for a little while now,
originally as an online fashion store, it has now evolved into a one-stop
fashion destination, and is serving the fashion hungry with its handpicked,
designer pieces.
Due to the success of the store which was originally
intended to close in June of this year, it has now been extended and will be
around until at least Christmas time!
Glassworks Studios is located on 71 Monmouth Street, Seven Dials, London,
WC2H 9DG, UK and its opening times are Mon-Sat:11-7pm Sun: 12-6pm.
